GETTING MARRIED FOR INTEREST IS NOW WELL SEEN IN MEN
Do you feel trapped in your work? Do not worry, just resign. We say that because there is apparently an easier way to have money and that is already accepted by society: marry a successful woman.
That is the discovery of a new study from the University of Kansas and its sociologist ChangHwan Kim. Using data from a 1990 and 2000 census, in addition to information from 2009 to 2011 it was discovered that there have been some changes in the education of men currently between 35 and 44 years old.
“The marriage pattern and its economic consequences have changed over time,” Kim, co-author of the study, said in a statement. “Now women tend to marry men of lower education and the consequence is clear.”
Women’s personal earnings have grown faster than men’s during the period 1990 to 2011, although the role of “mother” has declined by 13% over the same period.
The researchers found that the level of educated women exceeds that of men in marriage. Basically, they are more likely to marry a more modest man in this regard.
“Marriage is becoming more equal and equitable,” Kim continued. “If you are looking for a contribution from both in your relationship, then it is a good sign for today’s society.”
In short, women are making progress but men must also contribute. So do not stress but do not quit your job.
