2018 World Cup: “Nigeria is a team of bench warmers,”- Algeria’s coach

Algeria’s football coach says Nigeria’s Super Eagles are bench warmers in Europe, adding that only one player in the squad is hardly a substitute.

After Nigeria qualified for the 2018 World Cup at the top of its group and is getting prepared for the Russia 2018, Algeria’s coach Rabah Madjer said unlike Arsenal star Iwobi every other player is a substitute in Europe’s club.

Rabah Madjer said this to local reporters while speaking ahead of tomorrow’s 2018 World Cup qualifier clash with the Eagles.

The Algerian coach who was a player for his country in back in the 80’s was quoted by local reporters as saying:

“I have studied the Nigerian team, apart from Iwobi, every other player is mostly a substitute for his team in Europe, but that doesn’t mean they will not be at the level to face us.

“The game against Nigeria is not a friendly match for me…to me it is the first game of the qualifiers for the 2018 African Cup of Nations in Cameron,” he said.
