Friday, 31st of November has been declared public holiday across Nigeria. According to the Federal Government, the public holiday marks the Eid – El -Maulud celebration.
The announcement comes from the Ministry of Interior on behalf of the Federal Government on Wednesday in a statement signed by the minister Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau.
The minister urged the Muslim faithful and Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace, progress and unity of the nation.
He further urged all Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration towards building the nation.
“The minister wishes Nigerians a happy Eid – El – Maulud celebration,” the statement read.
