NYSC plans to review allowances for corps members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced plans to review corps members’ allowances, according to reports from Vanguard News.

Plans to review the corps members’ allowances was made public last Saturday, thanks to Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure, the NYSC director general who made this known while speaking at Enugu state NYSC orientation camp on the 2nd of November, 2017.

General Suleiman said: “The NYSC allowance is determined by the national minimum wage. We are waiting on the government to take a decision on the new wage structure before we know what to do”

The General told the corps members to be patient, stating that the report would put smiles on their faces.

General Suleiman admonished corps members to make their service year fruitful and to take advantage of the various skills acquisition programmes which would be available to them in camp.
