The submarine Ara San Juan made eight satellite calls before disappearing and the Argentine Navy hid it

Report says the ARA San Juan submarine made eight satellite calls before disappearing. The high command hid this detail, but the calls were recorded in Tesacom, the company that provides the satellite service.

The communications began at one o’clock in the morning of November 15 and ended at 7:19 that same day. The records indicate that the longest call lasted 13 minutes, while the shorter call lasted only 60 seconds.

Navy spokesman, Enrique Balbi, explained that they also received this call record, but did not give importance to make it public.

After two weeks of unsuccessful search for the missing submarine, the last communication was leaked from the San Juan. It was a report of a mechanical problem made by the captain of the ship Pedro Fernández.
