The teen reportedly killed his parents, his sister and a family friend in New Jersey, according to police.
The quadruple homicide occurred in the town of Long Branch, on the Atlantic coast. An unidentified person reported the shooting to the police around 23.45 on Sunday , 15 minutes to New Year.
The Monmouth County prosecutor, Christopher Gramiccioni, reported that the victims include the detainee’s father, Steven Kologi, 44, and the mother of the alleged killer, Linda Kologi, 42.
Also killed were the teenager’s sister, Brittany, 18 and a family friend, Mary Schultz, 70 .
“It’s terribly tragic,” Gramiccioni told reporters in Long Branch. The official said that the grandfather and another brother of the teenager were not killed as they left the house on time.
