Everything porn is explaining badly to you

Is porn sex ‘real sex’? According to researchers at the University of Quebec (Canada), your biggest mistake is believing that what pornography reflects is real life.
According to a study published in The Journal of Sex Research , pornography can perpetuate absolutely unrealistic expectations when trying to reach an orgasm. Especially in the case of women.

Because the researchers reviewed 50 most viewed videos on the popular PornHub porn page and have analyzed how many times men and women reached orgasm while filming. The result: Only 18.3% of the women appeared to have an orgasm for 78% of the men.

The research also revealed that most women who appear to have an orgasm achieved it through vaginal intercourse, when scientific studies have shown that only a quarter of women reach orgasm in that way.

One of the authors of the study, Léa J. Séguin, in statements to PsyPost, explains that “the orgasms of women were produced by vaginal intercourse or anal stimulation, without any stimulation of the clitoris, when in the real world it is exactly at reverse”.

“On the one hand, porn usually reflects and perpetuates unrealistic expectations about sexual relations between women and men. On the other hand, it is a myth that in porn, women always appear to have an orgasm,” Séguin adds.
