Wales have named Ryan Giggs as manager of thenational team, placing him on a four-year contract.
The Football Association of Wales (FAW) confirmed the development on Monday.
Wales, a Manchester United legend, who has been a long-term target of the FAW, takes over from Chris Coleman.
The latter left the job after failling to lead the team to the 2018 World Cup and was named Sunderland head coach in November
Also, Coleman’s assistant Osian Roberts, former Wales striker Craig Bellamy and Mark Bowen were interested in the job.
