A rights group, Muslims Rights Concern, has blamed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the challenges being faced by the Buhari administration in delivering on its electoral promises.
The group in a statement on Thursday, January 25, by its executive director, Ishaq Akintola, insisted that Olusegun Obasanjo’s recent criticism of the president should have been directed at the National Assembly, Premium Times reports.
“The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) believes that Obasanjo’s tirade would have been right had he fired it at the National Assembly which has been holding Buhari by the hand,”
“But alas! Obasanjo has chosen the victim instead of the culprit. Although Obasanjo’s epistle is profound, recondite and arcane, we are constrained to conclude that certain germane correlates have not been put into consideration by the respected retired general and ex-head of state,” the group said.
The Muslims Rights Concern said President Buhari was a victim of a well-knitted political conspiracy by the legislative arm of government.
The group accused the National Assembly of hampering the progress of the Buhari administration.
