Barcelona news: Lionel Messi tells team-mates Cristiano Ronaldo transfer plan

Barcelona star Lionel Messi has reportedly learned Cristiano Ronaldo is planning to leave Real Madrid next summer and has subsequently told Nou Camp pals about it.

Ronaldo has been tipped to quit the Bernabeu for the past 18 months in the wake of tax evasion allegations, which he denies.

And a return to Manchester United, where he made his name, has been heavily touted as a possibility.

Paris Saint-Germain have likewise been credited with interest in Ronaldo and he could head to France in part-exchange for Neymar.

The latest reports from Spain suggest Ronaldo believes such moves are out of the question though and that Messi has got wind of that.

According to transfer rumour specialists Don Balon , Messi has been discussing Ronaldo’s future with his Barcelona team-mates.

And he’s told them that his rival is aware joining another European powerhouse is not going to happen due to Real’s financial demands.

Messi has therefore passed on the message that Ronaldo is planning to swap La Liga for the MLS in 2019.
However, Ronaldo is apparently set to make the most of staying at Real for an extra year by pushing for a new contract.

He’s said to be looking for a pay rise before calling it a day in Madrid and cashing in across the Atlantic.

Don Balon indicate one of the players that Messi confided in first is his best friend at Barcelona, Luis Suarez.
