71 Feared Dead In Russian Passenger Plane Crash

A passenger twin-engine AN-148 with 71 people on board – 65 of them passengers and six crew members – crashed on Sunday outside Moscow, local media reported.
According to the Russian agency Interfax, the device crashed near the town of Argunovo, in the province of Moscow, leaving no survivors. Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered his condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims.

Locals from that area told the same media that they saw how the AN-148 fell to the ground, engulfed in flames.

Sources of the emergency services indicated that the remains of the device were sighted from the air and that rescue teams are heading to the scene of the accident.

However, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Measures have already found the first bodies.

The airline flight 6W703 Saratovskie Avialinii, took off from Domodévo’s Moscow airport to Orsk, south of the Urals, and little then the radars lost the signal of the aircraft.
