The Korean firm was off the 2017 MWC, but this year, it will take advantage of the Barcelona fair to present the new version of its flagship, the Galaxy S9. It will debut a day before the official opening, on Sunday, February 25.

Samsung will introduce new dual camera in the S9. It is believed that it will come with a new AI system with proprietary chip and more sensitive in low light conditions. There is also talk of a super-slow camera mode and improvements in the already remarkable depth effect. Other rumours related to S9 are:

The Finnish has recovered in an impressive way and is already one of the most anticipated presentations at the fair (it presentation start on Sunday, February 25). What is not known is exactly what it will announce. The leaks say that the Nokia 6 will finally be marketed internationally, but the most anticipated model is the Nokia 7 Plus, a flagship with 6-inch screen without borders, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with 4GB RAM and Android One.

The Nokia 7 Plus is a mid-range, and there are persistent rumours that the company could drop the bomb with the Nokia 9, a high-end Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB of storage space, a double camera and a 5.5-inch P-OLED screen like the Pixel 2 XL. We know that the Nokia 9 is ready after a recent leak from the FCC.

We jump from Finland to Japan. Sony begins its presentation on Monday 26. If we heed the rumours, we will see a new Xperia XZ2 Pro that could simply be called Xperia XZ Pro. It would be a review of the current XZ with Snapdragon 845 processor and new cameras. It is very likely that Sony will go for an 18:9 screen without frames.
There are rumours that this device could be delayed until September. What will certainly debut in this year’s MWC is the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, a revamped version of the XZ Premium with a 5.7-inch 4K screen, Snapdragon 835, 4GB RAM and 64 storage, and a battery of 3,420mAh with fast charge. It would also be water resistant.

Rounding off the list of possible Sony ranges, such as the Xperia XA2 Ultra and entry segment devices like the Xperia L2, heir to the L1 we saw last year.

The three MWC veterans will make us wait this year. LG was supposed to present the LG G7, but it is rumoured that the company has decided to delay its release at the last moment and redesign it completely for its debut in May or June. The presence of the Korean at the fair will have a lower profile, probably featuring the LG V30 2018, a review of the mid-range of 2017.

It was rumoured that its presence at the fair will not fully felt, but finally there are interesting leaks from Huawei. The device that will be released is the Huawei Mate SE, a mobile with 5.93-inch screen, Kirin 659 processor and dual camera. According to the information that is being shared online, the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus will not arrive until March at their own event in Paris.

Although everything indicates that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will not arrive in Barcelona, we will see a new version of its device without frames. This is the Mi Mix 2s, a 5.99 inches in 18: 9 format that will bring double camera signed by Sony and, as a curiosity, a notch similar to the iPhone X, but in a corner instead of in the center.

It is believed that the Mi Mix 2S will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and a whopping 8GB of RAM and 256GB for storage. The battery could be a 3,400 mAh with fast charge.

The three Lenovo models for its Motorola brand have already been leaked before its presentation at the fair. There are three variants of the Moto G6: Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto G6. It is three medium range with screens in 18: 9 format. We could also see a Moto Z3 and Moto X5 for the high end, although its details are yet to be seen.
HTC, Asus and the rest

HTC could take advantage of the MWC 2018 to launch the HTC Desire 12, a mid-range with an 18: 9 format and an affordable price. The company may make some announcement regarding its virtual reality devices, but no new hardware is expected.

Meanwhile, Asus does point high with the Asus Zenfone 5. The device equips a Snapdragon 845 and a notch on the top of the screen in the style iPhone X.
Blackberry has two new Android in its portfolio for 2018, and it is believed that one of them will debut at the MWC as did at KeyOne last year. Of course, there are many more companies and more ads. It will be an intense week that we will cover on foot from the stand from Juicylinks.
