The state of Paraná will be the first state in Brazil to start up a Biogas plant that will transform garbage and cocaine into electricity. The raw material for the production of this clean energy will come from sewage treatment plants and garbage and waste collection.

About 1,000 cubic meters of sewage sludge and 300 tons of waste will have a new use. The operating license from the Environmental Institute of Paraná has already been granted to CS Bioenergia, the company responsible for the project.

The raw material used can give energy to about 2 thousand homes in Paraná. Through biogas, the company will also produce biofertilizers.

The CS Bioenergia plant will be the first of its kind in Brazil.
