Apple would remove the notch from iPhone’s screen next year

When the expected iPhone X was launched, the most talked about feature was its notch on the top of the screen. A concept that clearly didn’t leave everyone happy.

The notch houses the TrueDepth camera system, which includes several components necessary for Face ID. The obsession to have an almost “full-screen” smartphone led to the creation of the notch.

Now the news coming from the east is that Apple, as expected wants to ditch the notch to archive the ultimate full-screen design.

“Apple has decided to remove the notch from next year and has already started discussing technical issues with suppliers,” an industry source told ET News on condition of anonymity.

According to the report, they are already in talks to see what technology can replace the notch. These sources within the industry talk about technology that would allow the insertion of sensors under the screen, being imperceptible to the user.
