Osun State Indigenes Took To The Street Of Osogbo To Protest Against Ahmed Tinubu’s Speech

Hundreds of protesters in Osun state today trooped out to protest what they described as an insult to the people of the state by the APC national leader, Bola Tinubu.

The protesters chanting pro democracy songs marched through the busy streets of Osogbo to protest against the statement made by former governor of Lagos state, Bola Tinubu who was in the state last weekend.

During the protest, the protester revealed their displeasure over the continued imposition of candidate from Lagos state on Osun state by Tinubu.

Tinubu, speaking during a visit to the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, over the weekend, the APC National leader, told residents of the state that the state doesn’t have the kind of money that would impress him.

Tinubu said this while reacting to claims that he was imposing the APC governorship candidate, Gboyega Oyetola on the state so he can embezzle the state resources when Oyetola is sworn into office.

Speaking in Yoruba dialect, Tinubu said, “…I asked those saying that I’m trying to plant Oyetola in Osun, that how much does Osun have? Osun doesn’t have my kind of money.”
