Hyundai Motor Company announced a strategic partnership agreement with the company Top Flight Technologies , startup of Boston, Massachusetts, specializing in technologies of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) (Drones).
Both companies will seek new business opportunities in various sectors and markets, in areas such as inspection services, surveillance missions for industrial uses and cargo transport, to name a few, trying to take advantage of the hybrid electric power system created and patented by the Boston startup.
With this hybrid top-flight micro-generator system, drones can remain in flight for up to two hours, carrying loads of up to 4 kilograms.
But that’s not all that the Boston startup offers, they also offer other scalable UAV solutions:
- Fleet management system and the 3D real-time simulation environment: offers agile product development tools.
- Remote location operation console: which allows the simultaneous operation of several drones.
For its part, Hyundai will also take advantage to improve its existing operations, applying drone technologies and, in particular, high definition (HD) mapping and operations (O & M) services.
