Its name is Knickers and it lives, of course, in Australia. Knickers has recently gone viral via a video in which it is seen walking quietly among other cows. Knickers is almost two meters tall and weighs 1.4 tons. more than double the normal size.
Knickers is a cow of the Holstein or Friesian breed. The females of that breed weigh around 600 kilos. The bulls reach 1,000. If we stick to what the owner says, it has not received any special treatment that has made it reach that giant size. Simply sometimes nature likes to do things big.
According to the Australian farmer, slaughtering the cow is a big challenge to them because it can’t fit into the facilities of any abattoir.
However, the owners aren’t interested in killing it because it was not bought to serve as food or produce milk. Knickers is much more exotic. It’s a cow trainer.
Farmer Geoff Pearson, owner of the animal, says he bought the Knickers as a animal coach that guides other cows that have just arrived on the large Perth farm where they live. With its size, it seems unlikely that the cattle will go against its instructions.
“It was too heavy. I wouldn’t be able to put it through a processing facility.
“So I think it will just live happily ever after,” said Geoff Pearson.
Geoff Pearson has about 20,000 cattle.
